Ability Links is a Social Futures program that supports people with disability, their families and carers in their communities. The primary aim of Ability Links is to assist people with disability, their families and carers to be valued and equal members of their communities.
Who is eligible?
Anyone in the Northern Rivers with a disability between the ages of 9 – 64. Proof of diagnosis or a referral is not required and there are no assessments or eligibility requirements.
Time: Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm
Services: Ability Links:
finds out from people with disability what is important to them and what they need, the life they want to live and then help to make this happen
connects people with disability to the same resources and opportunities that are available and accessible to everyone else in their mainstream communities
builds the skills, abilities and community networks of people with disability, their families and carers so they can live the life they want to live
works with the whole community to build the capacity of communities; mainstream groups, services and businesses to be welcoming, inclusive and accessible to people with disability

Ability Links is part of the NSW Governments program to support transition to NDIS and lay the groundwork for the establishment of the NDIS in NSW. The NDIS is planned for roll out in Northern NSW in July 2017.
